About Nậm Pồ

Nậm Pồ is a highland district in Điện Biên province, located in the border area adjacent to Laos, featuring wild natural beauty and unique ethnic cultural identity. The district was established in 2013, separated from Mường Chà and Mường Nhé districts. With an area of nearly 1500 km², Nậm Pồ is known as one of Điện Biên province's new but promising development districts.
Currently, Nậm Pồ district has 15 communes, with its administrative center in Nà Khoa commune. The population primarily consists of the Hmong, Dao, and Thái ethnic groups, creating a diverse cultural landscape.
