History of Trà Lĩnh

Trà Lĩnh was originally a tổng (administrative division) belonging to Thượng Lang châu (district), Trùng Khánh phủ (prefecture). In 1942, Trà Lĩnh tổng was separated to establish Trấn Biên châu, later renamed Trà Lĩnh district in 1958. This land has witnessed many important historical events, from feudal times to the resistance wars against French colonialism.
In 2020, Trà Lĩnh was merged into Trùng Khánh district, marking a transition in management and socio-economic development.
