Van Ho district is located in the southeastern part of Son La province, about 160 km from Hanoi and only 40 km from Moc Chau. Established in 2013, Van Ho separated from Moc Chau district and currently comprises 14 communes including: Chieng Khoa, Chieng Yen, Xuan Nha, Tan Xuan, etc.
